Tutor

Hours:         Term-time only, up to 6 hours per week

Pay:            Competitive service fee

Overview

As a Tutor, you will deliver two-hour lessons per group each week during term time. With us, you would have the opportunity to make a direct and positive impact on the academic attainment of the students enrolled with us.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and deliver lessons to students in groups and/or on a one-to-one basis.

  • Write weekly feedback and prepare reports.

  • Communicate with parents about their child's progress.

  • Provide guidance and information to students and parents as required.

Requirements

  • At least GCSE grade 6 in English and Mathematics.

  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum (desirable though not essential).

  • Teaching experience or experience working with children (desirable but not essential as training will be provided).

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Excellent organisational skills.

  • Good time management skills

  • Ability to take initiative.

  • Should have a ‘can do’ attitude.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Online products.

  • You must have your own laptop and a secure and stable internet.
